BAPS Washington, D.C. holds Diwali and Chopda Pujan on Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. The mandir is at 4320 Ammendale Road in Beltsville, north of College Park. The page uses the Washington name. The address is in Maryland. Chopda Pujan is the blessing of new account books for the year ahead. No ticket price is listed.

Tuesday, November 10, is the other visit. The time list runs from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Morning arti is at 7:30. Annakut darshan is 11:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with arti at 11:30 and again at the top of each hour. The mandir describes Annakut as a mountain of vegetarian dishes for the Hindu New Year, hundreds of them, offered in the shrine. Sunday’s evening does not include that display. If you want to see it, come back Tuesday.

The BAPS calendar for the year also puts Annakut and Bestu Varash, the Gujarati new year, on Tuesday, November 10. Monday, November 9, is empty on this mandir’s list. If a text says the feast is the day after Diwali, that day is Monday. This mandir posted Tuesday.

Saturday, October 24, was a kids’ afternoon, and that listing asked people to register. The November 8 and November 10 lines do not show a form.

Friday, November 6, the National Museum of Asian Art is free from 5:00 to 9:30 p.m. on the Mall. Saturday afternoon is the Fairfax County Kimchi Festival, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Government Center. Sunday evening is this mandir, if you are bringing the books. The three listings are three different places.

Our take: Sunday at 6:30 if you are bringing the books. Tuesday from late morning if you want to walk the Annakut. The phone on the page is (301) 931-3135.
