Palo Alto Buddhist Temple Obon is Saturday, August 1 (1:00–8:00 p.m.) and Sunday, August 2 (2:00–7:30 p.m.) at 2751 Louis Rd. Saturday emphasizes food in the gym through early evening, crafts, games, taiko and entertainment, bonsai, and plant sales. Sunday shifts to bentos and BBQ, Obon service at 5:00 p.m., and Odori dancing 5:30–7:30 p.m.
