Tibet Fest runs August 8–9, 2026 at the Seattle Center Armory Food & Event Hall through Festál, presented with the Tibetan Association of Washington (TAW). Admission is free. The festival showcases traditional and contemporary Tibetan art, music, and dance, framed by TAW as both community cultural preservation and a rare public introduction to Tibetan identity in the greater Seattle area.

Festál is Seattle Center’s year-round series of free community festivals. The first Tibet Fest was held in 1996; TAW has been a 501(c)(3) since 1993 and remains volunteer-driven. Same weekend Eastside readers can also stack Ananda Mela at Redmond City Hall, and the prior Saturday holds A Day in Punjab in the same Armory.

When: August 8–9, 2026
Where: Seattle Center Armory, 305 Harrison Street, Seattle, WA

Our take

Treat Tibet Fest as a listen-and-learn day more than a snack sprint. The Armory format rewards one strong performance block and a slow walk through community tables. If you already did A Day in Punjab the week before, this is the complementary Himalayan half of Seattle Center’s August Festál stack.
