The 24th Washington Chinese Culture Festival takes over Constitution and Pennsylvania Avenues NW, between 3rd and 4th Streets, on Saturday, August 29, 2026. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Entry is free.
Greater Washington Chinese American Community puts it on. The street closes in front of the Capitol, which is half the reason to go.
You will get Chinese performances, food and drink booths, exhibitions, and games. The stage order usually lands closer to the week. A few places have said it wraps at 4, so glance at the time that Friday if you are coming late.
If you already did ticketed Panda Fest on the same avenue, this is the free late-August return. Navy Yard's Asia in a Bite is the weekend before if you want dinner more than a street festival.
Go for the setting and the community booths. Ride Metro. Judiciary Square and Federal Center SW are the easy walks once Pennsylvania is closed.
