Spooky in Love: Park Eun-bin's ghost rom-com hits tvN and Netflix July 18
Spooky in Love premieres July 18 on tvN and Netflix, remaking the 2011 film Spellbound with Park Eun-bin as a ghost-seeing hotel heiress and Yang Se-jong as a prosecutor who is terrified of spirits.

Spooky in Love (오싹한 연애) starts July 18 on tvN at 21:10 KST, with a Netflix simulcast the same day. The 12-episode run is Saturday and Sunday through late August, which puts it one day after Netflix's East Palace binge drop and squarely in midsummer comfort-thriller territory.
Park Eun-bin plays Cheon Yeo-ri, a hotel-group heiress who sees the dead and, in this remake's twist, can pass that vision through touch, which is why gloves become part of her wardrobe logic. Yang Se-jong plays prosecutor Ma Gang-uk, sharp on cold cases and useless around ghosts. Ong Seong-wu joins as Kang Min-hwan, a rival hotel heir written as a smoother antagonist than the 2011 film needed. Director Lee Min-soo and writer Choi Jung-mi are adapting Spellbound for 2026, keeping the romance frame while expanding the murder-case machinery.
The pairing makes commercial sense. Park is still riding Extraordinary Attorney Woo name recognition plus recent Netflix work; Yang already travels with diaspora viewers from Doona and older broadcast hits; Ong brings Wanna One-era familiarity into a first clear villain lane. The ask for audiences is simple: if ghosts plus gloves plus hotel money sounds better than another palace curse, start here the weekend of the 18th.
