Team Falcons PH punched into the Mid-Season Cup knockout stage at Esports World Cup 2026 after a 2-0 lower-bracket sweep of sister organization Team Falcons MENA on Sunday at the Lenovo Legion Gauntlet Arena. Midlaner Salic "Hadji" Imam and jungler Michael "Kyle" Sayson led the closeout, keeping Philippine hopes alive after defending MSC champions Team Liquid PH went winless and exited in the group stage. Falcons PH, the MPL Philippines Season 17 runner-up, now rematches Indonesia's Team Vitality in the quarterfinals on July 30 at 6 p.m. Manila time. Vitality, the MPL Indonesia Season 17 champion with Filipino goldlaner Eman "EMANN" Sangco on the roster, had already swept Falcons PH 2-0 into the lower bracket earlier in the week.
The path was ugly before it got useful. Falcons opened MSC with a 2-0 over China's Guangzhou Gaming, then dropped the Vitality series and had to beat its own org's MENA squad to stay alive. That sister-org bracket quirk is the Saudi Falcons machine working both ways: the MENA side earned the main stage through the Wildcard, then became the last door Philippine fans needed opened.
