Asia Society Texas lists Night Market 2026 for Friday, November 6, from 6 to 10 p.m., at 1370 Southmore Boulevard. The center is closed to the public that Friday until the festival starts. Rain or shine.

The outdoor market is free. Indoor activities are $5, and free for Asia Society members. Shōgeki Sumo is another $5. Register before you assume you can walk straight into the building.

The festival takes the parking lot, the street, and the Taniguchi building and turns them into a marketplace, beer garden, and game zone. Asia Society has run a Night Market here since 2013. Time Out Texas called an earlier edition the city's best nightlife event in 2024. That usually means a line.

Outdoor listings include food and craft vendors, a beer garden, Japanese carnival games, karaoke, and dance sets from South Seas Productions, UH Modern, and Kaminari Taiko. Indoor tickets cover after-hours access to Yoshitaka Amano: Big Bang, an artists' alley, a Houston Public Library manga café, mahjong, and games. Shōgeki Sumo is another $5 on top of the indoor ticket.

Do not park in Asia Society's own lot. That lot becomes the festival. Southmore in front of the building closes to cars from noon. Asia Society points people to Holocaust Museum Houston, the Museum Medical Tower garage, other Caroline Street lots, street meters, or the Museum District METRORail stop, about a five-minute walk. Street meters cap at four hours, which is tight if you stay until 10. No food or strollers inside the building.

This is the week before Levy Park Diwali on November 14, and two days before ISKCON's Diwali night. If you are already in the Museum District for fall programming, this is the late one.

Our take: do the free outdoor market if you want food and a Friday walk. Pay the indoor ticket only if you care about the Amano galleries or the games. Confirm the Southmore closure the week of.

When: November 6, 2026 (6:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.)
Where: Asia Society Texas Center, 1370 Southmore Blvd, Houston, TX
