Chinatown Main Street Summer Festival ran Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Auntie Kay and Uncle Frank Chin Park on the Rose Kennedy Greenway beside the Chinatown Gate, roughly 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The July edition opens Boston Chinatown's outdoor festival season before CCBA's August Moon and the fall Mid-Autumn and Experience Chinatown runs.
Chinatown Main Street is the neighborhood nonprofit that programs vendor fairs, lion dance, martial arts demos, and summer performances on the Greenway park Boston named for elders Kay Chin and Frank Chin. July's fair is the warm-up: shorter than August Moon's street spread but the same gate-and-park frame readers use all summer.
The park sits above Orange Line Chinatown and Tufts Medical Center stations. Harrison Avenue restaurants stay open for lunch between stage sets; Tyler Street bakeries do brisk moon-cake-adjacent business even in July when families start planning August.
Who this was for: downtown workers stepping out at lunch, families who want lion dance without driving to Quincy, and visitors building a Chinatown summer loop. The July fair is smaller than August Moon but lands first on the calendar.
Same summer corridor later held August Moon Festival on August 9, Films at the Gate August 14–16, and Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival in September. If you missed July, August Moon is the bigger Chinatown street day.
Our take: treat the summer festival as the season opener. Lion dance at the gate, one Tyler Street lunch, done by mid-afternoon before the park crowd thickens.
