Mid-Autumn Festival at Children's Museum Houston 2026
Children's Museum Houston and VCSA host a Vietnamese Mid-Autumn Festival on Sunday, September 27, 2026 with lion dance, storytimes, crafts, and museum general admission.
Tickets from $21.95

Children's Museum Houston and the Vietnamese Culture and Science Association mark Mid-Autumn on Sunday, September 27, 2026. The museum’s event page conflicts with its Sunday hours: it labels the festival 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. but also says the museum opens at noon.
The same page lists an 11:00 a.m. storytime and Indonesian dance before the doors open. Treat those pre-noon entries as a publishing error, not an arrival plan. From noon onward, the usable schedule includes Soaring Phoenix Lion Dance at noon and 2:00 p.m., Chinese dance from Dance of Asian America at 1:00 p.m., and multilingual storytimes at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. Paper lanterns and Moon Festival fans run as ongoing crafts, while VCSA’s Kids’ Hall activities are listed through 2:00 p.m.
Your group must include a child age 12 or under to enter. General admission is currently $21.95 online or at the kiosk and $23.95 onsite for ages 1 and up, with lower senior and military rates. Advance tickets are the safer move on a holiday weekend.
Our take: this is the fuller Vietnamese Mid-Autumn day if you already have kids in tow. Pair it with Asia Society Texas’s free Super Saturday Mid-Autumn Family Day the day before if you want a Museum District weekend stack.
When: September 27, 2026 (plan for noon–5:00 p.m.; the published pre-noon schedule conflicts with Sunday opening hours)
Where: Children's Museum Houston, 1500 Binz Street, Houston, TX
