Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy is listing a free Día de los Muertos and Diwali festival for Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Crissy Field Center, 603 Mason Street in the Presidio. The Conservancy frames the day as two distinct fall observances sharing a national-park room. South Asian and Latinx traditions sit side by side through crafts, storytelling, cultural dance and song, and a fire ceremony, with conversation about social and environmental justice in both cultures. All ages are welcome, and admission is free.

A Planting as Remembrance stewardship block runs 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Spots are limited and need a separate advance registration on the Conservancy page. The larger festival does not require that signup, so you can still walk into the open celebration if the planting list is full. Five hours is the full public window. Families who want the stewardship hour can plant early, stay for crafts and song, and still clear the Presidio before East Bay evening traffic piles up.

Crissy Field Center sits on the Presidio side of the bayfront, away from Yerba Buena Gardens and away from Jack London Square. The same Saturday, Oakland Diwali runs evening hours at BLOC15, and Children's Discovery Museum Diwali fills a San Jose museum morning. Crissy Field is the daytime Presidio option if you want park air and a dual-culture program before an East Bay or South Bay evening. Bhangra & Beats is the following Friday downtown at Yerba Buena, a night-market card with food stalls and a different energy.

Presidio parking fills on weekend mornings. Muni and rideshare to Mason Street beat circling for a Crissy lot. Bring layers. November wind off the bay cuts through even when the crafts room feels warm. Dogs and food rules follow park and center guidance posted for the day, so check the Conservancy note before you pack a picnic or leash plan. The Conservancy lists the program under Presidio Tunnel Tops seasonal events, so expect national-park partner manners and a crafts-and-ceremony room rather than a closed street with food trucks lining the curb.

Who this is for: San Francisco families who want a free park festival that treats Diwali and Día de los Muertos as neighbors on the calendar. Skip it if you needed a night market with food stalls. That is Yerba Buena on the 13th, or Oakland after dark.

Arrive near 10:00 if you want the planting block. Stay through the fire ceremony if that is the close you came for. Confirm any weather note on the Conservancy page the morning of.

When: November 7, 2026 (10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.; planting 10:30–12:30 with separate signup)
Where: Crissy Field Center, 603 Mason St, San Francisco, CA 94129
