Oakland Diwali 2026 at BLOC15 in Jack London Square
Tiger Arts hosts a free Oakland Diwali on Saturday, November 7, 2026, 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. at BLOC15, 252 2nd Street in Jack London Square.
Free admission
Visit Oakland lists Oakland Diwali for Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. at BLOC15, 252 2nd Street. Admission is free. Tiger Arts, the nonprofit named on the Eventbrite page, is the host. The pitch is dance, music, a bazaar, and South Asian food, for people coming from across the Bay.
Visit Oakland's description calls the food free. The Eventbrite page describes food without repeating that word. Eat before you come, or recheck the Eventbrite listing that week if you are counting on a meal being included. The phone on the Visit Oakland card is (510) 858-9092.
Who this is for: East Bay readers who want a night out, not a temple puja and not a kids' museum hour. Diwali at the Children's Discovery Museum is the same Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in San Jose. You can do the museum in the afternoon and Oakland at night if the group has the stamina. Bhangra and Beats at Yerba Buena Gardens is Friday, November 13, and that one is the city's own Diwali night market.
BLOC15 is in Jack London Square, near the water and the ferry. Eventbrite lists free parking with the event. Downtown Oakland still means watching where you leave the car, and a Saturday night by the estuary fills the obvious lots. If you are on BART, the square is downhill from the downtown stations. Give yourself time. It is not on top of a platform.
The page does not publish a lineup, a door count, or a vendor list. What is firm is the clock, the address, and the price. Diwali day is Sunday, November 8. This party is the night before. FOG Diwali Mela in Fremont is the October 24 afternoon. Oakland is the November night on this side of the bay.
Our take: go if you are already on the Oakland side and you want dancing after dark. Go to the San Jose museum earlier the same day if the group is mostly kids. Do not skip dinner on the promise of a free plate until Tiger Arts says the food is included.
When: November 7, 2026, 6:00–10:00 p.m. (free)
