FOG Diwali Mela 2026 at Washington High School in Fremont
Festival of Globe hosts FOG Diwali Mela on Saturday, October 24, 2026, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Washington High School, 38442 Fremont Boulevard. Entry is $5 on Eventmozo. Parking is free on the flyer.
Tickets from $5

FOG Diwali Mela is Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Washington High School, 38442 Fremont Boulevard. Festival of Globe, FOG, and the Federation of Indo-Americans of Northern California lock the date on fogsv.com/event/fog-diwali. Aggregators have also written 11:00 a.m. Use 10:00.
Entry is $5 through Eventmozo, the Buy Tickets link on the FOG page. The official flyer also prints free parking and the same $5 line. That is the 2026 door math, not a leftover 2025 card. Booth sales sit on boothmozo under FOG Diwali 2026 if you are vending, not attending. Sulekha is listed on the flyer as another ticket path. Use Eventmozo first because that is the button FOG puts on fogsv.com.
The flyer’s program list is the shape FOG is selling: a Ramayana laser show, Ramleela, Lakshmi Pooja, Garba and Dandiya, India Bazaar, a food festival, dance and Deepotsava competition blocks, drawing and rangoli contests, diya painting, and an Incredible India fashion walk. Treat that as the school-grounds mela FOG wants you to picture. Stage-time grids are not on the event page yet, so plan the day as a full Saturday, not a single set.
Contact lines on the page go to Ritu Maheshwari at ritu@fiaonline.org and Naresh at naresh@fiaonline.org. The office is 3155 Kearney Street, Suite 210, in Fremont, not the high school.
This is a campus mela, not the August India Day on Paseo Padre. FOG’s Festival of India already ran August 15–16 at 39439 Paseo Padre Parkway. Washington High sits on Fremont Boulevard, a different lot and a different traffic pattern off I-880 or I-680. Give yourself time. The school lot fills when the bazaar and the kids’ contests open together.
The same Saturday, AIA’s San Jose Diwali Carnival is 2:00 to 11:00 p.m. at Cesar Chavez Park, listed as free, with Ravan Dehan after dark. FOG ends at 7:00. You can try Fremont in the morning and San Jose at night if you want both and you can stand the drive. Most people should pick one. Dussehra Diwali Dhamaka is the week before, October 17, at the Alameda County Fairgrounds, the ticketed fireworks mela.
Fremont’s Indian American calendar already uses this FOG circuit for Holi and India Day. Diwali here is the fall version of that same volunteer machine: FIA coordination, temple partners on the flyer, elected-official greetings as habit. The greetings are not the reason to go. The reason is a daytime schoolyard with a $5 door and a Ramayana block you can leave before dinner.
Our take: put Fremont on the calendar if you already do FOG and you want a daytime school-grounds mela with a locked $5 ticket. If you want a free downtown night and a Ravan burn, San Jose is the other Saturday. Buy on Eventmozo before you promise a walk-up story.
When: October 24, 2026, 10:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
