Las Vegas Buddhist Sangha Obon Festival 2026
Las Vegas Buddhist Sangha’s 37th Obon Festival runs Saturday, August 15, 2026 (10 a.m.–4 p.m.) at the Bill & Lillie Heinrich YMCA with Kaminari Taiko, memorial lanterns, bon odori, food trucks, and a craft fair.

Las Vegas Buddhist Sangha hosts its 37th annual Obon Festival on Saturday, August 15, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Bill & Lillie Heinrich YMCA, 4141 Meadows Lane. The year also marks the sangha’s 40th anniversary framing.
Expect Bon Odori dancing, cultural performances including Kaminari Taiko, memorial lanterns, a craft fair, food trucks, raffle and silent auction (closes 3:00 p.m.), and kids programming. Admission is free. Dance practices run separately at the sangha hall in North Las Vegas if you want to learn steps before festival day.
Earlier the same month, HoloHolo Market holds August 8 if you want a Polynesian market stop before Obon weekend.
