Boyle Heights Community Partners presents the 5th Annual Nikkei Celebration on Saturday, August 8, 2026, 5:00–10:00 p.m. The free community night marks five years of the celebration and seventy years of Otomisan. Organizers list a parade starting about 4:45 p.m. at the Historic Japanese Hospital (101 S Fickett St) toward the stage at Otomisan, 2506 E. 1st St., plus remarks, Hikari Taiko, Neighborhood Music School and Rebel's Outcry performances, a Sukiyaki sing-along, and closing Bon Odori.

Pair with Head in the Clouds logistics if you are already downtown that weekend, then shift into Nisei Week the following Saturday.
