UHJT Diwali Mela 2026 at Eleanor Roosevelt High School
Rajdhani Mandir's calendar lists UHJT Diwali Mela Saturday, October 10, 2026, 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Eleanor Roosevelt High School, 7601 Hanover Parkway, Greenbelt, MD. Flyer says free admission and free parking.
Free admission

United Hindu and Jain Temples is listing Diwali Mela for Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The flyer and the Rajdhani Mandir venue widget both lock Eleanor Roosevelt High School, 7601 Hanover Parkway, Greenbelt, MD 20770. Admission and parking are free on the flyer.
Rajdhani Mandir hosts the calendar page at rajdhanimandir.org, and Rajdhani is one of the participating temples on the UHJT flyer. That is why the listing lives on a Chantilly temple site. The event pin is Greenbelt, not Pleasant Valley Road.
The temple footer on the same page still prints 4525 Pleasant Valley Road, Chantilly, VA 20151, with phone 703-378-8401. That is the mandir address for darshan and office calls. It is not the mela lot. Earlier drafts treated Eleanor Roosevelt as leftover templating. The August 28, 2026 flyer reprints Greenbelt in hard type, so drive to Hanover Parkway unless UHJT reprints a new venue.
UHJT styles itself as an association of major temples across metropolitan Washington and Baltimore. Rajdhani Mandir has served the Hindu community in the DMV since 1985, which is why its calendar is a useful bulletin board even when the joint mela leaves Chantilly.
The flyer stacks Lakshmi Puja and a grand aarti, cultural performances, garba and dandiya, shopping, a food court, and a DJ. Treat that as the association mela shape, not a single-temple campus fair. Vendor and cultural contacts on the flyer go through UHJT channels and info@dcunitedtemples.org, not a private Rajdhani ticket booth.
Sharad Navratri jagrans sit on the Rajdhani calendar later in October. Those are ritual nights on the Chantilly campus. They are not this Saturday mela. Daily temple hours on the site (weekday split, weekend 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.) are darshan, not the Greenbelt clock.
Heritage India is October 24–25 at Dulles Town Center in Sterling, the paid-door indoor expo. Ballston's Festival of Lights is the free Arlington Friday on October 16. This Greenbelt Saturday is the earlier association card if you want school-grounds Diwali with free entry.
Greenbelt is Prince George's County, on the east side of the Beltway from Fairfax temple traffic. The high school sits near Hanover Parkway. Plan Beltway or MARC/Green Line plus a short ride if you are coming from NoVA. Do not aim for Chantilly and then hope the flyer was a typo.
Who this is for: DMV Hindu and Jain families who already follow UHJT's joint Diwali. Skip it if you needed a Loudoun pin. Sterling's expo is later and ticketed at the door.
Our take: 11 a.m. at Eleanor Roosevelt if that flyer still holds. Call Rajdhani at 703-378-8401 only if you need the mandir, not for a Chantilly mela that this page does not promise. Do not drive to Pleasant Valley for this date.
When: October 10, 2026 (11 a.m.–7 p.m.)
Where: Eleanor Roosevelt High School, 7601 Hanover Pkwy, Greenbelt, MD 20770
