SAMAFEST 2026 Philippine Cultural Arts Festival at Balboa Park

SAMAFEST, the 39th Philippine Cultural Arts Festival, takes the Presidents Way lawn along Park Boulevard in Balboa Park on Saturday and Sunday, August 22–23, 2026, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.

SAMAHAN Filipino American Performance Arts and Education Center puts it on. The nonprofit runs a performing-arts school in San Diego and has staged SAMAFEST since the 1980s, which makes this one of the longest-running Filipino cultural weekends in the county. The heart of the day is regional folk dance with rondalla, kulintang, and gangsa ensembles, plus contemporary guest sets, martial arts demos, craft vendors, and Filipino food.
