International Youth Fellowship is listing Taste of Korea for Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at IYF Sacramento, 10424 Investment Circle, Rancho Cordova. Doors open at 10:40 a.m. Parking is free. All ages.
The first 2,026 guests can claim a free online ticket starting October 1, first come. RSVP on Eventbrite. The iyfusa.org/sacramento path still 404s. This Eventbrite card is the dated primary for hours, doors, and the free-ticket clock.
Food is for purchase. Hands-on cultural tables mix free and paid. Traditional Korean games and a family-friendly Squid Game-style challenge block are on the copy. That is the posted mix. Do not invent a concert headliner or a printed stage grid.
IYF frames this as an outdoor year after prior indoor runs at the same Investment Circle hall. Expect tents, food trays, and game booths in a business-park lot rather than a downtown plaza. Bring layers for a November afternoon in the Sacramento Valley, and plan cash or card for food lines even if the gate ticket is free. The promo collage leans on street snacks and craft tables, which matches the posted food-and-games mix.
Rancho Cordova Diwali is already October 25 at Stone Creek Park. This is a different product two weeks later: Korean stalls the night before Diwali. BAPS Annakut is November 1 in Mather, noon to 5, for temple Annakut and carnival energy. CDM Cal Expo has already cleared mid-October. Stack Korean food Saturday, temple Annakut the prior Sunday, or pick one corridor and stick to it.
Who this is for: Rancho Cordova, Folsom, and east-county families who want a Saturday of Korean food and games without a downtown crawl. Skip it if you wanted a civic Diwali lawn. That date already happened at Stone Creek.
Investment Circle sits off the US-50 corridor in an office-park stretch, not Old Sacramento and not a light-rail plaza. Drive. Leave buffer for Saturday shopping traffic on Folsom Boulevard if you are coming from the west. Grab the free ticket on October 1 if you are going.
Organizers are also recruiting photographers and social volunteers through taste.of.korea.sac@gmail.com if you want a working pass rather than a guest slot. Special tickets for those roles are promised on the listing, separate from the free guest RSVP.
Our take: claim the free slot October 1. Arrive near 11 if you want food before the line thickens. Leave by 4 if Sunday temple plans are the point, and treat the Squid Game block as a family challenge, not a late-night show.
When: November 7, 2026 (doors 10:40 a.m.; 11 a.m.–5 p.m.)
Where: IYF Sacramento, 10424 Investment Circle, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670
RSVP on Eventbrite.

Velveting, explained as a Chinese kitchen technique
Velveting is the Chinese prep step that keeps stir-fry chicken and shrimp tender instead of rubbery: a cornstarch-and-oil coat, a rest, then a quick par-cook before the wok. Here is how it works and why diaspora cooks are finally seeing the name match the method.
