Times Square Durga Utsav holds public puja Saturday and Sunday, October 10–11, 2026, at Father Duffy Square on Broadway between 46th and 47th Street, with cultural sets after 5 p.m.

Times Square Durga Utsav is Saturday and Sunday, October 10–11, 2026, at Father Duffy Square, Broadway between 46th and 47th Street.
This is a public pandal on the pedestrian island next to the red TKTS stairs, not a ticketed hall. The organizers say they want Maddox Square in Kolkata and Dhakeshwari Temple in Dhaka on that concrete. Theme work is coming from Kolkata designers. You will still be standing in Times Square. Dress for wind and tourists.
Saturday's card starts at 11 a.m. with Shashthi puja and runs through Saptami and Ashtami, with pushpanjali blocks at noon, 2, and 4, then prasad at 4:30. Cultural programming is listed from 5 p.m., including dandiya from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, the Midtown Indian cultural center, and a late set from Bengali singer Lopamudra Mitra and Joy Sarkar. Treat the minute marks as a day-of check. Outdoor pujas slip.
Sunday starts at 11 a.m. with Nabami, Dashami at 2, prasad at 3:30, sindoor khela at 5, and another cultural evening. Nrityanjali is listed for Mahishasuramardini. If you only want the farewell rites, Sunday is the shorter religious day.

Two weeks later, Diwali at Times Square uses the 46th-to-48th Broadway block. This weekend is the Bengali one. Garden State Puja Committee is the following weekend in a Jersey City high school if you want chairs and bhog instead of a plaza. Queens Night Market is also Saturday nights through October if you want Flushing Meadows after the prasad line.
The same Saturday, JAPAN Fes is in Astoria on Broadway between Steinway and 41st. That is a Queens street-food day, not a second Times Square stop.
N, Q, R, W to Times Square–42nd Street, or the 1/2/3, is the arrival. The island fills. Stand on the Broadway side if you want an exit.
Our take: come Saturday if you want the longer cultural night. Come Sunday if you want Dashami and sindoor khela. You do not need both unless you are in the puja.
