Boston Little Saigon is listing Trung Thu Together for Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Town Field Park, 1565 Dorchester Avenue, Fields Corner. The page prints NEW DATE in the hours block. Admission is free.
This is Tết Trung Thu, the Mid-Autumn park evening the organizer frames around lanterns, family time, and a chance for kids and teens to learn the holiday. Treat it as a lawn gathering, not a street corridor.
It is also not July's Chợ Đêm on Dorchester Avenue. That free night market already ran July 18 along Gibson to Adams, with Town Field as part of the stretch. Fall Trung Thu is the same cultural district coming back for a park afternoon after summer street energy has closed.
Boston Little Saigon is the Fields Corner / Dorchester Avenue cultural district, one of New England's densest Vietnamese commercial corridors. The district's summer calendar leans Chợ Đêm. This October date is the Mid-Autumn follow-up: quieter planning, clearer kid focus, and a single park address instead of a multi-block walk.
Use the organizer page at bostonlittlesaigon.org/trungthu if you see an older September weekend floating in a roundup. The live listing is October 3, 3 to 8.
The Red Line Ashmont branch stops at Fields Corner, and the page prefers MBTA over driving. Parking is very limited, mostly street. Email info@bostonlittlesaigon.org if you need access help. The district contact line on the site is 617-858-0468, with the office at 1443A Dorchester Ave #2. The festival lawn is Town Field, a few blocks from that office address.
The same Saturday, Maum Market is 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Seaport Common. You can shop the Seaport in the early afternoon and still reach Dorchester by 3 if the Red Line behaves. Do not treat them as one neighborhood outing. Seaport closes as Town Field is opening.
Who this is for: Fields Corner and Dorchester Vietnamese families, parents hunting a free Mid-Autumn park window, and anyone who missed July's night market and still wants Trung Thu outside. Skip it if you wanted a Chinatown gate festival weekend. That is a different corridor and a different promoter calendar.
Bring layers for a park that cools after sunset, and plan lantern or kid gear for the early block if that is your reason to come. Food and vendor detail is thinner on the Trung Thu page than on the July night-market listing, so treat dinner nearby on Dorchester Avenue as the backup.
Our take: aim for 3 p.m. if you have kids and want daylight on the lawn. Stay toward 8 if the park itself is the point. Take the T, and keep Maum as an optional morning stop rather than a same-block double feature.
When: October 3, 2026 (3–8 p.m.)
Where: Town Field Park, 1565 Dorchester Ave, Dorchester, MA 02122
