Artesia’s 13th International Street Fair & Diversity Festival is Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 3:00 to 10:00 p.m. on Pioneer Boulevard between 183rd and 187th Streets. The city page says admission is free. The calendar listing matches that window.
This is the city’s signature street night on the Little India strip, not a temple mela. Food booths, food trucks, craft and retail vendors, family activities, and cultural performances sit on the same four-to-five blocks people already use for saris and mithai. The city pitches it as a diversity festival that draws thousands each year. You will still be standing in the South Asian shopping corridor.
The one locked stage name is The Two Lips at 9:00 p.m. The pop duo has Artesia ties and played Coachella this year. That set is free with festival admission. Get there before 9 if that is why you came. The Cultural & Band Stage page says additional bands, cultural groups, and the full hour-by-hour card will post closer to the day. Do not invent openers from last year’s flyer.
A separate Eventbrite Diwali Street Mela is circulating for Sunday, October 25, on Pioneer. The city calendar does not list it, and the chamber site did not confirm it in a static scrape. Do not treat October 25 as locked. October 3 is the city date.
Ektaa Diwali Fest is October 24 at Great Park Live, the public OC lights Saturday. Aikotaan’s Durga Puja is October 9–11 in Tustin. San Gabriel’s dumpling night is the Friday before on Mission Drive. Pioneer in early October is the walkable street, before Navratri shopping crowds take the sidewalks for the full Diwali push.
Pioneer between 183rd and 187th is the Little India retail strip Artesia has marketed for decades: sari shops, sweet counters, restaurants, and the weekend sidewalk crush before Diwali. The street fair sits on that same pavement. You will hear more than one language. Park on side streets early if you can. Cerritos and Norwalk spillover is normal on a Saturday once the evening peak starts.
The 91 and the 605 are the usual approaches. The city office is 18747 Clarkdale Avenue, (562) 865-6262. Edith Guerra is the posted sponsorship contact at ext. 347 if you are a vendor, not a guest. Stage and booth questions can wait for the city updates page closer to October 3.
Our take: go if you want a free Pioneer evening and you already like this street. Arrive closer to 3 for space, or closer to 8 if the 9 p.m. set is the point. Eat on the block. Do not count on a second city Diwali street date until Artesia posts one.
When: October 3, 2026, 3–10 p.m.
