San Gabriel’s 11th Dumpling & Beer Fest is Friday, October 2, 2026, in the Historic Mission District. The city newsflash is the primary. Blossom Market Hall’s listing and the fest site pin the night at 6:00 to 10:00 p.m., with the festival address at 250 South Mission Drive. That is the clock to use.
Admission to the festival is free. Food and drinks are for purchase. The beer garden and VIP layers are ticketed on dumplingandbeerfest.com or the city’s Eventbrite. Do not invent those prices from a recap. Use the cart if you want a wristband.
The city is promising dumpling vendors, local craft breweries, live entertainment, a night-market strip, family activities, and “new experiences” for a crowd it expects above 7,000. That is the shape of the night. Blossom Market Hall notes the city has run this fest since 2015. The official site was still thin on a locked vendor and music list when we checked. Skip recap names until the city or the fest site posts them. Vendor and sponsorship questions go to econdev@sangabriel.gov or hello@dumplingandbeerfest.com.
This is a Mission District street evening around the old San Gabriel core, not a mall food court. Street closures around Mission Drive are likely. City lots and street parking fill fast after 6. Rideshare is smarter if you are drinking. San Gabriel City Hall is 425 South Mission Drive, (626) 308-2800. Economic Development has used (626) 308-2806 on fest materials.
Happy Night Market’s Anime Edition is later, November 13–15, at TAWA Gateway on Valley Boulevard. Different organizer, different block. Artesia’s street fair is the next night, Saturday, October 3, on Pioneer. You can do Friday dumplings and Saturday Pioneer if you want two street nights. That is a lot of parking. Pick one if you have kids. FilAm Creative Film Festival is the same Friday at Cal State LA. Do not try both.
The 10 and the 60 are the usual freeway approaches. The Mission District is a short hop from the San Gabriel Valley Blvd dinner strip, but do not count on leaving at 10 and finding a quiet exit. Come closer to 6 if you want a dumpling line that is still moving. Blossom Market Hall sits at 264 South Mission Drive, a few doors from the pin, if you need a fixed landmark before the tents go up.
Our take: go if you want a free Friday in the SGV and you already like this neighborhood. Eat first, then decide if a beer ticket is worth it. If you only have one October Friday, this is the city one. The November night market can wait.
