Greg Hsu's Finnish Lapland Adventure with Canada Goose

In northern Finland, where early fall sees the last of the midnight sun, the Taiwanese actor leaves a familiar, faster pace of life behind and rediscovers the luxury of stillness.
24-hour daylight disorients as much as it provides perspective on how we structure our busy city lives. Evening arrives, time for supper, but the light never disappears, simply settling lower over the landscape, washing forests, open ground and still water in pale gold. Hours become harder to measure. Time begins to follow a rhythm of its own.
For acclaimed actor and Canada Goose ambassador Greg Hsu, that long Finnish light offered a rare chance to step outside his own gravity and momentum of everyday life. His work usually unfolds through scripts, schedules and carefully constructed scenes. Here, the cues came from elsewhere: a change in the air, the ground ahead, the urge to continue walking simply to see what lay beyond the next rise.
"When I stepped into nature, everything seemed to slow down," Hsu says. "Standing beneath the midnight sun and taking in the landscape around me deepened my appreciation for that connection to nature."
The experience lies at the heart of Natural Intelligence, the philosophy that guides Canada Goose. It describes an awareness that is instinctive and earned through contact with the world outside. Little things we were born to notice but more often forget, like sensing the weather before it turns, adjusting one's pace to the terrain, and remaining open to life's little surprise joys and hurdles that can't be neatly slotted into a schedule.
Finland is an apt setting.
Nature here breathes, stretches, and exists with little human interference. Foxes drink in the last of a gentle summer before a harsh, dark winter. The landscape is verdant and alive, constantly whispering.
Importantly, a cool evening makes the value of a well-chosen layer immediately clear.
Dressing for the landscape

Hsu explores Finland in the Ash Jacket in Terra, a relaxed style that draws on the hard-earned character of workwear. ($895 CAD)
A brighter layer

The Loma Colour Block Fleece Half Zip brings a different energy to the edit. Rendered in Solar Aria, its vivid yellow upper panel stands out against Finland's subdued natural palette. ($675 CAD)
The Ash for women

The same design language appears in the women's Ash Lightweight Bomber. Its cool blue canvas and pale brushed-fleece collar recall the colours of northern water and sky, giving the burly original shape a quieter expression.
Like the men's Ash, this uses an organic cotton-canvas shell with soft fleece lining. The fit leaves room for layers, fleece, or a lightweight sweater. Adjustable cuffs and hem help retain warmth, with four exterior pockets. ($895 CAD)
Natural Intelligence
Canada Goose's heritage is steeped in durability and well-crafted luxury. In Finland, that expertise serves a quieter kind of expedition, with no summits and few crowds.
