The Double Ten Celebration Committee S.F. Bay Area holds the 2026 ROC National Day flag ceremony on Saturday, October 10, at 10:10 a.m. at Santa Clara County Government Square, 70 West Hedding Street, San Jose. The committee page lists performances, snacks, and a souvenir lanyard.

The Bay Area Double Ten flag ceremony is Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 10:10 a.m. at Santa Clara County Government Square, 70 West Hedding Street, San Jose. The Double Ten Celebration Committee S.F. Bay Area posts it on dtccsf.org, and the 2026 flyer matches that clock. October 10 is National Day of the Republic of China, observed here as a civic outdoor ceremony, not a Grant Avenue parade.
The committee says the date falls on a Saturday this year and expects a larger crowd for that reason. The morning includes the flag raising, arts performances, snacks, and a souvenir, while supplies last. This year’s giveaway is a pastel phone lanyard printed with the committee name and Taiwan images: Formosan black bear, boba, last year’s “Taiwan LV” bag motif. Email is info@dtccsf.org.
A September 26 Diabolo Dance Theatre, 舞鈴劇場, concert at the South Bay Overseas Chinese Cultural Center was the ticketed prelude. That night is over. Elite seats were $35 and VIP $60. Do not treat those prices as the Saturday morning door. The county-square ceremony is listed as a public gathering with snacks. There is no posted ticket on the homepage.
The same flyer also lists a North Bay flag raising at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Square. That is a second stop if you are stacking civic mornings, not a replacement for Hedding Street. Confirm that North Bay pin closer to the day if you are driving across the Bay.
There is no 2026 Grant Avenue Double Ten parade on the committee site. The South Bay has used the Hedding Street plaza for decades, and the committee’s own about copy frames that annual civic gathering as the Bay Area through-line. Downtown San Jose civic buildings sit across the street. Parking is county and street lots. They fill by 10:00. Come earlier if you want a sightline for the flags.
Chair and staff contacts on the flyer include (408) numbers for the committee chair, secretary general, and treasurer if you need an accessibility or logistics question answered before Saturday. Use those only for planning, not for inventing a program order the site has not posted.
The same Saturday, 626 Night Market opens at 3:00 p.m. at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. You can do Hedding Street at 10:10 and Pleasanton at night if you want a civic morning and a food-court evening. Abahan’s first Durga Puja is also October 10–11 at ICC Milpitas. That is a different community and a different hall.
Taiwanese American Professionals and other chapters run heritage nights elsewhere. We already filed TAP’s Snapdragon night in San Diego. This Saturday is the Bay Area’s ROC civic clock.
Our take: go if Double Ten is already your October 10. It is a plaza ceremony with a 10:10 start, not a night market. If you only have the afternoon, skip this and buy 626.
