HTGC Vijayadashami Bazaar and Fireworks 2026 in Lemont
The Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago lists a Dussehra bazaar, children's Saraswathi puja, Ramlila, Ravan Dahan, and Vijayadashami fireworks Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 10915 Lemont Road. Ritual Vijayadashami is Tuesday, October 20. Flyer hours are not locked here.

The Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago is stacking a public Saturday on October 24, 2026, at 10915 Lemont Road. The upcoming list names Dussehra Bazaar, Navaratri Children's Saraswathi Pooja, Ramlila and Ramayana Quiz, and Ravan Dahan with Vijayadashami fireworks. Venkateshwara Jayanthi sits on the same day.
Click the homepage rows for flyer images. Those cards did not give clean printable hours here, so start and end times for the bazaar and fireworks are not locked. Do not invent a 6:30 sparkler start from last year.
Ritual Vijayadashami under Sharad Navaratri Mahotsavam is Tuesday, October 20, on the same list. Navaratri Rama Katha and related programs run from October 11, with Durgashtami on October 18. Annabhishekam is October 25. Treat October 24 as the public Saturday. Tuesday the 20th is the tithi.
Temple hours printed on the site are 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., last archana at 8:30 p.m. Those are daily darshan, not the bazaar clock. Phone is 630-972-0300. The footer still shows an older copyright year. That is leftover type, not a reason to ignore the October rows.
HTGC opened the Rama temple in 1986 and added the Ganesha-Shiva-Durga house in 1994. The hill campus is two shrine houses plus hall space, south of the Stevenson and a drive from the city. It is not Devon Avenue and it is not a high-school gym. Families who already park here for weekend darshan will know the climb and the lot rhythm better than first-timers from the North Side.
November 8 already carries a Diwali bazaar and grand fireworks on the same HTGC calendar. October 24 is the Dussehra / Vijayadashami public Saturday. Do not mix the two sparkler nights when you text the group chat a plan.
The same Saturday is stacked across Chicagoland. Aurora's Diwali starts at 2:00 p.m. at Metea Valley High School. Bengalis In Chicago lists October 24–25 at 828 S Wolcott. Schaumburg garba is already into its later nights by then. Pick Lemont if you want the temple hill, bazaar stalls, and fireworks. Pick Aurora if you want the Fox Valley civic hall. Pick Wolcott if you want two days of Bengali puja without leaving the city.
Who this is for: southwest-suburb families who already use this campus, and anyone willing to drive for a bazaar and a night sparkler card. Skip it if you need a printed Saturday hour tonight. Open the flyer on htgc.org before you leave.
Our take: Saturday if you can reach Lemont before dark and want the campus crowd. Tuesday the 20th if you only want the tithi. Recheck the flyer the week of for hours.
When: October 24, 2026 (bazaar, children's Saraswathi, Ramlila, Ravan Dahan, fireworks; hours on flyers)
Where: Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago, 10915 Lemont Rd, Lemont, IL 60439
