Schaumburg Garba Festival at Haridham Chicago

Eight free garba nights, 400 barcodes each. That is the Schaumburg Navratri math.

Haridham Chicago, the Hindu-Swaminarayan Temple and Cultural Center also known as YDS Chicago, hosts at 540 Martingale Road. Patel Entertainment Group produces October 12–16 and October 18–20, 2026, each night from 6:30 p.m. onward. Expect garba, dandiya, music, and festive community energy during Sharad Navratri.

Admission is free, but a valid Eventbrite RSVP is required. Each night has its own ticket. Organizers list about 400 tickets per night and a maximum of two tickets per person. Tickets are date-specific. Do not assume an eight-night pass covers walk-up swaps.

Have the barcode ready at the door. Entry still depends on venue capacity and event rules. Security and local law enforcement are listed as on-site for the run.

Gujarati families across Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates, and the northwest suburbs already know this floor. Friends who want Navratri dancing without a high ticket price can join the outer ring after watching a round. Comfortable shoes matter once the circle packs. Traditional attire is welcome. Parents with younger kids should aim for earlier arrival before the floor peaks.

Schaumburg is a drive from Devon Avenue or downtown. Plan parking on or near the Martingale campus and buffer for weekday evening arrivals. October 17 is the listed off night inside the span. Dussehra timing around October 20 makes the closing nights feel like the season’s peak for many households.

Weeknights fill differently than Fridays. If you can only dance once, grab a weekend barcode first and leave a midweek night as a backup if the 400-cap still has room. Two tickets per person means couples and parent-kid pairs fit cleanly; larger friend groups need coordinated RSVPs across accounts.

Aurora Diwali on October 24 is a different holiday in a Fox Valley school hall. Keep garba as the mid-month dance calendar and Diwali as its own night unless your household already lives on that October circuit.

Haridham sits in a Schaumburg office-park stretch that already hosts big South Asian calendar nights. The point is Navratri without fighting downtown parking. Bring water, stretch between rounds, and leave when the circle outruns your knees.

Our take: RSVP early for Friday and Saturday if those are your only free evenings. The 400-cap fills. Convention-center nights with named singers are a different product. This one is the free temple-campus path for the northwest corridor.
