The Indian Association of Sacramento's Mega India Day is Saturday, August 15, 2026, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at Folsom High School. Admission is free. They are marking 80 years of Indian independence and America's 250th in the same afternoon.

Expect a parade, cultural sets, Indian food stalls, business and nonprofit booths, and kid competitions in photography, painting, and cooking. You do not need a ticket to walk in.

Use the school lots off Prairie City and Iron Point. Folsom in August is hot by noon.

Come early, eat, watch a set, and leave before the last parking crunch. Shade is whatever the tents give you, so a hat helps. Just show up at 10.

US-50 to Prairie City is the clean approach. Give yourself a few extra minutes if you are coming from Sacramento after a morning errand.

Same night, Pakistani Independence Day at Cal Expo starts at 4 p.m. if you want a second Sacramento stop.

When: August 15, 2026, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
Where: Folsom High School, 1999 Prairie City Rd, Folsom, CA 95630
