Free admission
JAPAN Fes lists Saturday, October 17, 2026, in downtown Jersey City on Montgomery Street between Hudson Street and Greene Street, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free. Food is pay-as-you-go.
This is the second New Jersey date of the year. Overpeck on August 1 was the park edition, with longer hours. The October stop is a downtown block, both lanes, near the waterfront. Vendor load-in is 8 to 10 a.m. on the official New Jersey page. You do not need to be there for that.
The roaming mix matches the New York editions: kakigori, taiyaki, karaage, takoyaki, ramen, and rotating stalls. Confirm the stall list closer to the date. The New Jersey 2026 page is still thinner than the individual New York posts.
PATH to Exchange Place or Grove Street puts you a short walk from Montgomery. Do not confuse this with Garden State Puja Committee at Dickinson High School the same Saturday. Dickinson is on Palisade, up by India Square. Montgomery is downtown. They are not a double header unless you like a long PATH-and-bus day.
Next official New York date is East Village on October 24. Treat the Montgomery map as day-of truth.
