Japan Festival Canada 2026 at Mississauga Celebration Square

Japan Festival Canada takes Mississauga Celebration Square, 300 City Centre Drive, from Friday, August 14 through Sunday, August 16, 2026. Organizers bill it as the largest Japanese cultural festival in North America, with prior editions drawing 100,000-plus visitors across the weekend.

Friday is market-only from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Saturday runs 12:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Sunday runs 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Expect Japanese food trails, retail vendors, traditional and modern stage sets, and pop-culture programming. Festival headliner billing for 2026 includes singer-actress Aika Kobayashi; treat day-of stage notes as truth if sets shift.

Admission to the square festival is free. VIP lounge and special headliner packages sell separately on the organizer site if you want early entry extras. Square One and City Centre Drive parking fill early on Saturday; Mississauga Transit and a short walk from the mall corridor are usually cleaner than circling for a spot.
