Diwali Milan is Saturday, November 7, 2026, at the Vishnu Mandir banquet hall in Richmond Hill. The temple campus is 8640 Yonge Street. The organizer flyer puts doors at 4:30 p.m. and the show at 5:00 p.m. Food is on sale inside.
Ticket cards on diwalimilan.ca list adult admission at $20, kids ages 5 to 12 at $10, and a meal combo (meal plus beverage) at $10. The same flyer also marks kids under 5 as free. Book through the site before you drive up Yonge.
November 7 is the night before Diwali. Toronto Kalibari holds Shyama Puja on Sunday the 8th from 7:30 p.m. Viet Expo is a 10-to-5 Mississauga hall that same Sunday. Milan is the Saturday banquet if you want a ticketed music night in York Region instead of a Sunday temple or a trade fair.
The flyer, presented with Upasana, leads with Omesh Singh and a long Bhakti Sangeet-style cast. Treat that as the stage pitch, not a seat map. You are buying a banquet-hall Diwali show, not a civic-square fireworks plan. If the lineup shifts, the site ticket page will show it first.
Vishnu Mandir, run by Voice of Vedas Cultural Sabha, has been on Yonge at the north edge of the metro since 1984. The banquet hall sits with the shrine, Montessori, and the Canadian Museum of Indian Civilization on the same campus. Temple desk hours are 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. most days, 7:30 p.m. close Wednesday. Those are daily darshan times, not the Milan clock. Yonge here is the Richmond Hill stretch north of Highway 7, not the Mel Lastman lawn farther south.
Who this is for: Richmond Hill and Markham families who already use this mandir and want a sit-down Diwali night with a named lineup. It also works for anyone who missed the October plaza dates and still wants a GTA stage before Lakshmi week. Skip it if you wanted a free civic square. North York Diwali Fest and downtown Nathan Phillips are October dates, already behind you by then.
Contacts on the Milan site are info@diwalimilan.ca, Pt. Avinash at 647-834-2987, and Steve at 416-938-5607. The temple office line is 905-886-1724. Ask about parking and kid check-in when you book.
Our take: buy the $20 if this hall is your Diwali. Arrive for 4:30 doors if you want a seat before the 5:00 start. Saturday is the dinner and stage. Sunday is the ritual and the expo, elsewhere.
When: November 7, 2026 (doors 4:30 p.m.; show 5:00 p.m.; adult $20)
Where: Vishnu Mandir banquet hall, 8640 Yonge St, Richmond Hill, ON L4C 6Z4
