Hangawi Concert at Korean Cultural Center of Chicago

Korean Cultural Center of Chicago presents the 2026 Hangawi Concert on Friday, September 25 at 7:00 p.m. CDT at BISCO Hall, 9600 Capitol Drive in Wheeling. Hangawi is another name for Chuseok, Korea’s harvest Thanksgiving. KCCoC partners with the Roosevelt University CCPA Orchestra for classical and Korean collaborative performance, then a post-concert reception with traditional Chuseok refreshments.

Maestro Benjamin Firer conducts. The program opens with Arirang, then weaves Korean repertoire into the orchestral set. Local Korean press lists songpyeon and sikhye among the reception bites after the bows. That reception is part of the ticket, so plan to linger after the bows.
