Panda Fest Dallas 2026 at Carpenter Park
Panda Fest lists Dallas Friday through Sunday, November 6–8, 2026, at Carpenter Park, 2201 Pacific Avenue. Early-bird tickets are $10 through October 4. Sunday falls on Diwali.
Tickets from $10

Panda Fest Dallas is Friday through Sunday, November 6–8, 2026, at Carpenter Park, 2201 Pacific Avenue. Hours are Friday 4:00 to 10:00 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Panda Fest frames the weekend as an outdoor Asian food festival with experiential activities, tastings, and market booths. The Dallas page is the lock for address, hours, and ticket math.
Sunday, November 8, is Diwali. Frisco Diwali Mela already covers the free civic park night on November 1. Panda Fest is the downtown, timed-slot food festival that lands on the holiday weekend itself. Plan those as different jobs, not as the same afternoon.
Early bird is $10, live from September 24 at 9:00 a.m. CDT through October 4 at 10:00 p.m. CDT, or until 1,000 tickets per time slot sell. General admission is $14. Saturday tickets are $2 more. VIP is $35. Gate admission is $20 plus tax. Tickets are non-refundable. Kids 6 and up need a ticket. Under 6 do not, and they get a free headband, not a pin. Strollers are allowed.
A GA ticket includes a Dallas-featured panda pin and a headband, one entry for the selected slot, the panda inflatable, food vendors, merch, and performances. VIP adds a bag, a fast pass, and exclusive VIP areas and bathrooms. The page quotes 60-plus Asian food vendors, 150-plus Asian street-food items, and 20-plus merchandise booths. Those are organizer counts. Treat them as the shape of the ground, not a guarantee of every booth name.
No outside food or beverages. Medical dietary items and baby formula are the exceptions. Each guest may bring one factory-sealed water bottle up to 16.9 ounces. Friendly dogs on leashes are welcome away from food prep and eating areas. Owners clean up. Aggressive behavior means removal.
Carpenter Park sits on Pacific Avenue in the downtown corridor near Deep Ellum, not in a suburban park campus. Panda Fest encourages rideshare and carpooling. Paid garages nearby include Lot 185 at 2018 Pacific, Lot 21 at 2218 Elm, Lot 12 at 2203 Elm, Lot 23 at 2306 Pacific, and Lot 10 at 2201 Main. Panda Fest is not the parking operator. Watch signage and fees. Mail is customer@pandafests.com.
Who this is for: downtown and Deep Ellum eaters who will pay for a timed slot and want food-festival density on Diwali weekend. Skip it if you wanted a free civic Diwali lawn. Frisco already covered that on November 1, and Southlake's free Town Square night is earlier in October.
Our take: buy the $10 slot before October 4 if you are going. Saturday is the long clock. Sunday if Diwali downtown is the point. Do not show up expecting walk-up pricing to match early bird.
When: November 6–8, 2026 (Fri 4–10 p.m.; Sat 10 a.m.–10 p.m.; Sun 10 a.m.–8 p.m.)
Where: Carpenter Park, 2201 Pacific Ave, Dallas, TX 75201

Velveting, explained as a Chinese kitchen technique
Velveting is the Chinese prep step that keeps stir-fry chicken and shrimp tender instead of rubbery: a cornstarch-and-oil coat, a rest, then a quick par-cook before the wok. Here is how it works and why diaspora cooks are finally seeing the name match the method.
