Bay Area Prabasi’s Golden Jubilee Durga Puja is Friday through Sunday, October 16–18, 2026, at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds, 344 Tully Road, San Jose. Anjan Dutta, Monali Thakur, and a Jashn-e-Bollywood night are named. Daily hours are not posted.
Ticketed event

Bay Area Prabasi’s Durga Puja is Friday through Sunday, October 16–18, 2026, at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds on Tully Road in San Jose. The 2026 puja page on prabasi.org is the lock. This is the org’s Golden Jubilee year, fifty years after the 1974 founding, and the site is selling it that way. Daily ritual hours are still “coming soon.” Do not invent a gate time.
The concert row is named. Anjan Dutta and his band are Day 1 on Tugoz. Monali Thakur, the National Film Award-winning singer, has a Sulekha ticket path. Sunday closes with Jashn-e-Bollywood, also on Sulekha. Book concert passes there. A public start clock for Anjan is not locked on the 2026 puja page, so do not treat a leftover 7:00 p.m. line as gospel until Tugoz or Prabasi posts one.
Member dining and visitor food run on different tracks. Registered members get complimentary multi-course festive meals across the three days, with the detailed menu still marked coming soon. Non-members and walk-ins use the indoor and outdoor food bazaar: Kolkata street snacks, fish fry, kosha mangsho with luchi, biryani, the usual South Bay Bengali fairgrounds mix. Saturday Mahaprasad bhog sponsorship sits on Tugoz if you want to underwrite the lunch crowd. Kumari Puja registration is also coming soon.
The venue is a fairgrounds campus, not a mandir hall. You will walk between stages, food rows, and a lot. Prabasi is the long South Bay membership nonprofit, not a first-year rental. Non-members can visit. Confirm whatever door or pass rule is live on prabasi.org before you drive. Tickets for the named nights are separate from a casual afternoon walk-through.
The same weekend, Agomoni builds an open-air pandal in a Camino Ramon parking lot in San Ramon. That is East Bay Tri-Valley weather and a lot underfoot. This is San Jose fairgrounds indoor-outdoor. Pick by which community you already sit with, and by whether you want Anjan or Monali on a ticketed night. Abahan is the weekend before at ICC Milpitas, a first-year hall. Dhamaka is Saturday the 17th in Pleasanton if someone in the car wants fireworks instead of ashtami.
Tully Road is a surface-street hop from the 101 or 280. The lot fills when a concert and a puja share a Friday. Give yourself time. Anjan Dutta is a Kolkata film-and-song name from the Bela Bose / Bong Connection generation, not a local DJ. If that Friday is why you are coming, buy the Tugoz pass and skip the Saturday argument.
Our take: go Friday for Anjan, or Saturday if this is already your Prabasi weekend and the member bhog is the point. Confirm hours before you promise a walk-up. San Ramon is the other Saturday if you live on the 680 and want sky over the pandal.
When: October 16–18, 2026 (hours not posted; concerts ticketed on Tugoz / Sulekha)
Where: 344 Tully Rd, San Jose, CA 95111 (Santa Clara County Fairgrounds)
