The Chinatown Merchants Association Autumn Moon Festival takes Grant Avenue between California and Broadway on Saturday and Sunday, September 19–20, 2026. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. It is free.
The main stage sits at Washington and Grant. Expect food vendors, mooncakes, kids' activities, and lion dancing. The exact parade time usually lands closer to the week. AA Bakery and the other Grant Avenue shops will already be in mooncake season, so you can buy a box even if the booth lines look grim.
Grant will be packed by early afternoon. Powell Street BART or the Stockton buses beat circling for a garage. Eat a mooncake, watch one lion set, then walk Waverly if you want air. Sunday is usually a little easier than Saturday if you can wait a day.
This is still the SF Chinatown date. Millbrae Mid-Autumn is the same weekend if the peninsula is closer. Oakland Little Saigon's OVCC festival is Sunday if you want the East Bay version. The following Friday, Sunset Night Market Mid-Autumn holds Irving Street for the night-market edition.
