City Parks Foundation lists Taiwanese Waves’ 10th anniversary for Sunday, August 16, 2026 at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park. Doors open at 5 p.m. The show runs 6 to 10 p.m. Admission is free and all ages. No ticket is required for the general field.
The lineup pairs Mandopop and R&B names 9m88, ØZI, and YELLOW 黃宣 with psychedelic brothers Mong Tong, Taiwanese American songwriter Chance Emerson, and a DJ set from Chinatown Records. Organizers have used the night as a diaspora picnic as much as a concert: blankets, friends, and a late-summer Central Park crowd.
Enter at Fifth Avenue and 69th Street for Rumsey. Bags get a SummerStage security check; arrive before doors if you want a sit-down patch of lawn. Same afternoon, FIA’s India Day Parade is on Madison. Do not try to do both at peak unless you leave the parade early.
