FIA’s 44th India Day Parade steps off Sunday, August 16, 2026 at noon on Madison Avenue from East 38th to East 27th, with a free food fest and cultural stage on the 26th Street blocks.

The Federation of Indian Associations NY-NJ-CT-NE presents the 44th India Day Parade on Sunday, August 16, 2026, stepping off at noon on Madison Avenue from East 38th Street south to East 27th Street. Street viewing is free.
FIA also lists a food fest and booths on East 26th Street between Madison and Park, plus cultural programs on Madison from East 26th to East 25th. Saturday, August 15, holds the Times Square flag hoisting (10 a.m., Broadway between 43rd and 44th) and the Empire State Building tricolor illumination at sundown. The Cipriani Wall Street gala that night is a separate ticketed reception.
Float formation is typically late morning on 37th and 38th between Fifth and Park. If you only want the march, stand along Madison south of 38th and plan for a slow midtown Sunday. Same-day Central Park programming includes Taiwanese Waves at SummerStage if you are stacking an evening.
