Vancouver TAIWANfest returns Saturday through Monday, September 5–7, 2026, on Granville Street and šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl’e7énk Square, the plaza north of the Vancouver Art Gallery. Admission is free.

The plaza runs noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and noon to 6 p.m. Monday. Granville Street hours are noon to 6 p.m. all three days. This year's theme is Dialogue with Scotland, same as Toronto TAIWANfest the weekend before. Expect food, music, talks, and pavilion programs, including Islands' Talk on Sunday.

SkyTrain to Vancouver City Centre drops you on top of it. Do not drive Granville on Labour Day weekend unless you enjoy that kind of puzzle. Eat on the plaza first. The surrounding downtown kitchens will be slammed.

Go Saturday or Sunday if you want the long evening. Monday is the shorter close. Fire Dragon Festival in Chinatown is two weeks later if you want the incense night after this.

When: September 5–7, 2026 (plaza Sat–Sun noon–10 p.m., Mon noon–6 p.m.)
Where: Granville St and Vancouver Art Gallery plaza, Vancouver, BC
