Fire Dragon Festival 2026 in Vancouver Chinatown
Fire Dragon Festival returns September 18–19, 2026 in Vancouver Chinatown, with the main fire dragon performance at 7 p.m. near 578 Carrall Street.

The Fire Dragon Festival returns Friday and Saturday, September 18–19, 2026 in Vancouver's Chinatown. The main performance is 7 p.m. at 578 Carrall Street. That is the time to be there. The rest of the day is workshops and hanging around.
The fire dragon is a Mid-Autumn Hong Kong tradition: a long body studded with incense, danced at night. Vancouver's version is a neighborhood heritage night. You can see and touch the dragon, join a dance workshop, then watch the evening run. Wear closed shoes. Incense ash and a crowded sidewalk are part of it.
Aim for 7 p.m. on Carrall. Get there a little early so you can see the dragon turn the corner. Stadium-Chinatown SkyTrain drops you a short walk away, which is kinder than hunting a lot after dark.
Same weekend, Richmond Night Market closes out on River Road if you want the food-court marathon instead. Vancouver TAIWANfest is already over if you did Labour Day.
When: September 18–19, 2026 (main performance 7 p.m.)
Where: Vancouver Chinatown, 578 Carrall St, Vancouver, BC
