Weekend Stream: Possible Love lands on Netflix Friday
Lee Chang-dong's Possible Love is on Netflix Friday. If you are already in Doctor X, 100 Days of Deception, or Final Table, each of those has a new pair.

The theater window for Possible Love was short. Tonight the movie is just on Netflix, and that is the easier way in.
Lee Chang-dong has not made a feature since Burning in 2018. This one won the Silver Lion at Venice, runs 164 minutes, and Netflix rates it R. Jeon Do-yeon plays Mi-ok, who works in a factory while her husband Ho-seok, played by Sul Kyung-gu, sits with the wreckage of a layoff after a strike. Cho Yeo-jeong is Ye-ji, a documentary filmmaker who wants their life on camera. Zo In-sung plays Ye-ji's husband. The friendship starts warm, then the camera starts asking for more than anyone meant to give. We wrote about that class edge earlier this week if you want the stakes before you sit down.
If a drama already owns your Saturday, leave the movie for Sunday and take the new episodes instead.
Doctor X: Mafia in White is still winning its Friday slot, just not climbing the way it did in October. Episode 9 did 15.3% nationwide on Nielsen Korea, peaking at 16.6%. That is a step down from the 19.5% high on episode 6, but it is still the show most of the country is watching. Episode 9 should be in the Netflix app. Episode 10 follows Saturday's broadcast at 9:50 p.m. in Korea, morning here. One more weekend after that, and the finale is November 14.
100 Days of Deception keeps getting louder. Last Sunday's episode 8 hit 9.8% nationwide and 10.7% in Seoul, another series high. Kim You-jung and Park Jin-young are halfway through 1932 Gyeongseong. Episodes 9 and 10 air Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 p.m. there, and Netflix has been adding them the same morning. Sixteen episodes total, through November 29, so you are not finishing this month.
Final Table is the quieter one, and that is fine. Episode 4 reached 2.6%, its best night so far. Ahn Hyo-seop and Hong Hwa-yeon are deep enough into the contest that the kitchen finally feels like a show instead of a setup. Episodes 5 and 6 are Saturday and Sunday on Prime outside Korea. Catch up only if you already care who wins the plate.
Start the weekend with Possible Love if you want something that ends. Stay with the hospital, the spy job, or the kitchen if one of those has already got its hooks in you.
