Austin Chinese Culture Festival 2026

Austin Chinese-American Network brings its annual Chinese Culture Festival to the Austin ISD Performing Arts Center on Saturday, September 26, 2026. The free public event runs from noon to 7:00 p.m.

A traditional lion dance opens the day. The theater program stretches across Chinese music, dance, opera, instrumental performance, and martial-arts demonstrations, with contemporary and cross-cultural collaborations mixed into the bill. Outside the stage, art and heritage exhibits cover crafts, literature, customs, and history.

Families get hands-on games and activities, while community organizations staff information booths. Food vendors are expected to cover Chinese regional cooking, other Asian cuisines, and festival sweets. The event lands one day after the September 25 Mid-Autumn Festival, so moon appreciation, reunion traditions, and mooncakes sit naturally inside the day rather than as a decorative theme.

The Performing Arts Center has a 400-space garage with entrances from Mueller Boulevard and the private drive linking 51st Street to Barbara Jordan Boulevard. Austin ISD says district-event parking is free but non-district use may carry an hourly fee, so check event-day signs instead of assuming.
