Sắc Màu Trung Thu returns Sunday, September 13, 2026, 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Sheridan College Athletics Centre, 1430 Trafalgar Road, Oakville. The festival targets Vietnamese families across Mississauga and the wider GTA with indoor and outdoor spaces for roughly 2,000 guests. Tickets are sold through Luma; standard admission includes all-day entry, a complimentary water bottle, and one raffle entry. Kids under 5 have a separate ticket tier. All sales are non-refundable.

The daytime block runs 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. with lion dancing, Vietnamese and international food stalls, a collective lantern-lighting ceremony, paper lantern workshops, folk games, áo dài dance, and children's martial arts demos. The evening show runs 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. with traditional music and dance, áo dài fashion, guest singers, a homemade lantern contest, a lucky draw with a $500 grand prize, a lantern procession, and closing fireworks.

Organizers frame the event as a full Trung Thu reunion for overseas Vietnamese: moon viewing, lantern culture, and community gathering under one roof when suburban temples and parking-lot fairs feel too scattered. Sheridan's Trafalgar Campus in Oakville gives the festival room for rain backup inside the athletics centre while keeping outdoor ceremony space.

Who this is for: Vietnamese Canadian families in Peel and Halton who want a ticketed, programmed Mid-Autumn night with fireworks, and anyone comparing GTA moon festivals before Fête Chinoise later in September. Skip it if you need a free mall lantern fair; Mississauga's Mid-Autumn festival is the open-admission version Labour Day weekend.

Oakville sits between Mississauga and Hamilton on the QEW corridor. GO and local bus connections serve Sheridan; parking on campus fills once the 3 p.m. lion-dance crowd arrives. Buy tickets early on Luma; the listing showed strong early interest in midsummer.

GTA Mid-Autumn programming stacks fast in September: Square One's lantern market September 4–7, this Oakville Vietnamese festival September 13, then Markham charity nights September 26. Each serves a different community anchor; Sắc Màu Trung Thu is the west-GTA Vietnamese answer to mall Mid-Autumn programming.

The host organization on Luma describes a mission around preserving cultural heritage and supporting children, elders, and women entrepreneurs. That framing shows up in the family-forward daytime crafts and the evening stage built for multigenerational crowds. Non-Vietnamese guests are welcome; English copy on the ticket page walks through the schedule block by block.

ARC WORLD lands in Markham the day before if you want celebrity hoops and a convention floor; this is the smaller Vietnamese Mid-Autumn answer with programmed shows, raffle prizes, and a guaranteed indoor rain plan at Sheridan.

Our take: arrive at 3 p.m. for food and lantern crafts, stay through the 6 p.m. show if you want the procession and fireworks. Bring cash for extra food vendors even with advance tickets.

When: Sunday, September 13, 2026 (3:00–9:00 p.m.)
Where: Sheridan College Athletics Centre, 1430 Trafalgar Rd, Oakville, ON
