Fête Chinoise hosts Love at Mid-Autumn 2026 Saturday, September 26, 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at Porsche Centre Markham. The campaign theme is A Mid-Autumn Night's Dream Chapter 2: In the Mood for Mahjong. One ticket per person is required; children 10 and under enter free with a paid adult ticket.

Fête Chinoise is a Toronto design and philanthropy platform that pairs Chinese Canadian culture with charity fundraising. The Markham community night includes mahjong play and lessons, craft stations (button pins, magnets, painted mahjong tiles, paper lanterns), a LEGO kids area, live cultural performances, a marketplace with food and artisan vendors, portrait studio moments, themed photo ops, face painting, and partner activations from Holt Renfrew, TD Bank, Pears Restaurant, and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.

The mooncakes are the other half of the project. Saint Germain Bakery bakes a limited heart-shaped set in a collector tin, $115 CAD, with a Fête Chinoise Design Annual and a how-to-play-mahjong booklet. Pickup starts early September at 9-7755 Warden Avenue in Markham; GTA courier is the other option. Net proceeds support the Chinese Canadian Museum, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and the Fête Chinoise Cultural Foundation. Since 2021 the campaign has directed more than $272,800 to Canadian charities.

Who this is for: Markham and 905 families who want a dressed-up Mid-Autumn night with mahjong and charity receipts, and design readers who already follow Fête Chinoise's mooncake drops. Skip it if you want a free parking-lot lantern fair; Mississauga's Mid-Autumn festival is the open-admission version earlier in September.

Porsche Centre Markham sits in the Highway 7 corridor; plan rideshare or parking before the 4 p.m. door rush. Buy tickets in advance; the campaign page lists limited capacity.

Fête Chinoise began Love at Mid-Autumn as a charity mooncake project and grew into a full community night. Last year's downtown edition drew design-world and Markham families together; the 2026 Porsche Centre venue signals a 905 homecoming with room for mahjong tables and lantern walks in a showroom setting.

The silent auction and gallery of student art winners add a fundraiser layer beyond the party floor. Partner activations from Holt Renfrew and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra are typical Fête Chinoise touches: luxury brands meeting community museum philanthropy in one evening.

If you cannot attend Saturday, the mooncake tin still funds the Chinese Canadian Museum and TSO through September pickup at Warden Avenue. The party and the tin are separate products from the same campaign.

Our take: order the tin if you want the charity receipt without the showroom crowd. Come Saturday if mahjong tables and lantern walks are the point.

When: September 26, 2026 (4:00–11:00 p.m.)
Where: Porsche Centre Markham, Markham, ON
