Friday is opening night. Saturday is the full day plus the concert. Sunday is family day with kids' programming. Days often run 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Check the close time before you drive out from the city. Route 59 traffic after 5 p.m. on Saturday is its own event.
Expect food stalls, a bazaar, cultural sets, and a Saturday headliner on the Mall of India lot, next to the Desi grocery corridor. They talk about 25,000-plus visitors. Plan for a crowd. Wear shoes you can stand in, and eat before the concert block if you hate missing a set for a dosa line.
