Taste of India’s 9th edition runs Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2, 2026 at Nathan Phillips Square, 100 Queen Street West. Official Eventbrite hours are 12:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. both days. Admission is free; food, drinks, and marketplace shopping are pay-as-you-go.

Organizers School of Flavours and Young Canadian Alliance frame the weekend around Indian cuisine stalls, cultural performances, and a vendor marketplace. Toronto.com’s preview flags Lauren Gottlieb as a celebrity dance headliner, with additional acts including Team Oorja and Natya Usha Dance Academy. Treat the day-of stage board as truth if lineups shift.

Same GTA weekend, Mosaic Festival holds Celebration Square in Mississauga if you want a South Asian arts stack west of downtown. Mid-August still holds Maha Onam at Sankofa Square on August 15.

When: August 1–2, 2026 (12:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m.)
Where: Nathan Phillips Square, 100 Queen Street West, Toronto, ON

Use only the official Eventbrite listing (Global Arts Culture and Heritage / School of Flavours). Confirm rain plans and headliner times closer to the weekend.

Our take

Downtown and free is the pitch. Come hungry, budget for vendor cash, and treat Gottlieb as a nice stage spike rather than the whole reason you came. If you only have one afternoon, Saturday early is easier than Sunday close when the square packs out.
