Ticketed event

Uttoron is putting Sharodotsav, its Durga Puja, in Magnuson Park Hangar 30 Friday through Sunday, October 9–11, 2026. The hangar address is 6310 NE 74th Street, Seattle 98115. Registration is open.

This is a community puja, not a city festival. You cannot wander in. Members get free entry if they register. Non-member adult tickets are $40 a day, or $90 for all three days. Kids non-member tickets are $20 a day. Students, seniors, and visiting parents are listed at the adult non-member rate. Food coupons are extra. Friday food is vendor stalls, with details still coming. Saturday and Sunday have a posted lunch menu on the event page. Refunds on entry or food need a request 14 days before the day, sent to uttoron@uttoron.org.

The page header currently shows 6 p.m. to 4 p.m., a span that does not read like a normal day window. Confirm hours when you check out. A special show with Bengali singer Ankita Bhattacharyya, a Sa Re Ga Ma Pa winner, is listed without a locked time. Volunteer slots are also open.

Uttoron registered in 2003 as a 501(c)(3) for people of Bengal in the greater Seattle area. The name means upliftment. The group runs puja, a Bangla school, literary nights, and an annual magazine that comes out at Durga Puja. The community stretches from Seattle to the Eastside and south to Tacoma, with families from both India and Bangladesh.

Hangar 30 is a former naval aircraft hangar on the Sand Point campus, now Warren G. Magnuson Park on Lake Washington. Enter from Sand Point Way NE at NE 74th Street. Parks lots sit around the hangar and fill when a large rental is on. The 75 bus runs Sand Point Way. There is no Link stop at the park.

The week after, Bhindeshi’s Sharod Utsav is October 16–18 at the Gary D. Weikel Event Center in Monroe. Fab Bangali lists the same weekend at Sai Baba Temple in Redmond, free, without posted hours. Saturday, October 17, Uttoron also has a separate Anjan Dutt and Bhoomi gala in Burien. That is a different ticket.

Diwali is later. Uttoron’s Deepaboli is Sunday, November 8, 2:15 to 8:15 p.m. at Pickering Barn in Issaquah, again with details still thin. Festál’s Diwali: Lights of India is the free public Saturday, November 7, at Seattle Center. Ananda Mela in August was the outdoor Eastside India weekend. Sharodotsav is the October puja, not a stand-in for those lights nights.

Uttoron says it tries to post parking and schedule notes about 30 days out. Check the registration page again before Friday. The org email is uttoron@uttoron.org.

Our take: register now if you already sit in this community. If you are new, join or buy the non-member ticket before Friday, then plan one full day, not three. The hangar is a drive from downtown. Pair it with a walk on the lake path, not a CID dinner the same afternoon.

When: October 9–11, 2026 (confirm daily hours when you register)
Where: Magnuson Park Hangar 30, 6310 NE 74th St, Seattle, WA 98115
