Cortis is taking its LA tour stop to 870 movie theaters
Big Hit Music and Trafalgar Releasing will broadcast Cortis's Aug. 13 YouTube Theater show to more than 870 cinemas in 29 countries, with tickets on sale July 31 and Lollapalooza plus a North American theater run first.

Cortis is less than a year old and already selling out rooms faster than the rooms can hold the demand. Big Hit Music's answer is not another Weverse stream. It is movie theaters.
The Aug. 13 Put Your Phone Down stop at YouTube Theater in Los Angeles will broadcast as a global live-viewing event to more than 870 cinemas across 29 countries and regions, including Korea. Trafalgar Releasing is handling the theatrical pipeline, the same event-cinema shop that has moved Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and BTS into multiplexes. Theater audiences get a 30-minute exclusive pre-show before the concert feed. Many international markets will catch a delayed screening on Aug. 14 for time zones. Tickets and local listings open July 31 at CortisLiveViewing.com (Korea cinema sales open 10 a.m. KST that day).
Los Angeles also gets a hybrid: a standing Live Viewing Party the same night at The Vermont Hollywood, with concert-grade sound instead of assigned cinema seats. Trafalgar's Marc Allenby called that dual cinema-and-club format new ground for the distributor. Our read: HYBE is treating Cortis like a capacity problem, not a discovery problem. When debut-tour tickets vanish, the next inventory is seats in 870 rooms, not another app login.
The timing stacks on purpose. Cortis plays Lollapalooza Chicago as the only K-pop boy group on the 2026 bill (House of Blues aftershow July 31, T-Mobile stage Aug. 1), then opens the North American theater run Aug. 4 in Toronto before New York, Atlanta, Irving, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. GreenGreen, the May EP, already debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 with about 87,000 units and has passed roughly 3.1 million Circle Chart copies in 11 weeks, second only to BTS's Arirang among 2026 Korean releases at that threshold. Debut EP Color Outside the Lines sits above 2.15 million. Combined, that is more than 5 million albums before the first anniversary.
Pair with Arirang's Billboard return if you want the senior-label chart math in the same week. For Cortis fans, the practical move is simpler: check CortisLiveViewing.com on July 31, then decide whether Lolla, a tour city, or a cinema seat is the version of the run you can actually attend.
